Embarrassing SPA bonuses

The timing of big bonuses to State Ports Authority officials could hardly have been worse, with the ongoing decline in port business and the potential loss of the SPA's main shipping line. You have to wonder how richly port executives would have been rewarded if business were really booming. SPA President and CEO Bernard Groseclose topped the bonus list with $27,720. Bonuses to all top port officials totalled $208,000. Altogether, incentive bonuses of about $500,000 were awarded. … [Read more...]
